I read an AP article today about the 35 hour work week in France, which seems to be getting the blame for every labor & economic problem in France.
My personal perspective is biased. I'm an American with a 35 hour work week. I love the 35 hour work week. I feel better. I know it's "only" an hour but I feel so much better. I have energy left at the end of day. I don't drag through the last hour. My quality of life is better for it. I turned down a decent job offer and the 35 hour week was a significant factor in that decision.
I hope they don't give it up. It's only an hour a day, but it does make a difference.
