The Village
Aug. 3rd, 2004 06:23 pmHokay. I went with
avikar to see "The Village." I tried to con some of you into coming with me, because it was a horror film and I wanted adult support during the gore.
It was surprisingly good and not at all the slasher-flick I was expecting. This is not a horror film. The horror marketing for it is a disservice. It's a thought provoking film about human nature. No gore, very minimal ick, some suspense. It has subtle plot twists. And for those who nit-pick on historical accuracy - neener, neener.
I recommend the film. Go forth and see it.
